South Africa has been one of the toughest teams in any format of cricket. But they are also the most unsuccessful team when it comes to ICC tournaments, be it ODIs or T20I World Cup. When it comes to T20I history, the Proteas produced some of the best hits in the game.

AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, Herschelle Gibbs, Graham Smith and Faf du Plessis are among the best white-ball players. 3. Jacques Kallis and Graeme Smith (97 runs) vs India in the 2010 T20 World Cup.

This was the 5th match of Group C between India and South Africa in the 2010 World Cup at Gros Islet. When South Africa won the toss. But South Africa decided to bowl.

They started quite well and got India's first two wickets early. But it was Suresh Raina who came in at number 3 and played a brilliant knock. Raina scored India's first and only century in the T20I World Cup.

He scored 101 off 60 balls and helped India reach 186/5. Chasing the target, South Africa got off to a good start. After losing the first wicket, Jacques Kallis (73) and Graeme Smith (36) added 97 runs for the second wicket. But in the end, they failed to chase down the target and ended the innings at 172/5. India won the match as a result. He won the match by 14 runs.

2. Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram (103* runs) vs England in 2021 ICC T20.

South Africa has only crossed the 100-run partnership twice in the World Cup. Their second-highest partnership came in the last World Cup match against England in Sharjah. After winning the toss, England decided to bat first. South Africa dropped the first wicket early. South Africa got a good performance from the third wicket. Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram added an unbeaten partnership of 103* for the third wicket.

South Africa reached 189/2 in 20 overs. Van der Dusen scored 94* off 60 and Markram 52* off 25 balls. Some English players chased the target and also started the game, but could not continue until the end. In the end, England fell short by 10 runs and lost the match.

1. Herschelle Gibbs and Justin Kemp (120* runs) vs West Indies in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

The first match of the first T201 World Cup in 2007 was between South Africa and West Indies in Johannesburg. Several records were broken in this match.
